CBSE: Schools will be fined ₹ 50,000 for irregularities in marking scheme

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has informed all schools that it will not tolerate any malpractices in class 10 and 12 board exams. The board said that if a school makes any wrong calculations while marking its students, it will have to pay up to Rs. 50,000, or, their recognition will be abolished.

The CBSE has announced before the class 10 and 12 results. CBSE has started checking its Term 1 board exam marks. All the home centers where the post-examination evaluation work was done are being thoroughly scrutinized. The board will check the OMR copy of the term 1 paper and verify whether each student is marked as per the marking scheme or not.

CBSE has combined the internal assessment marks from the respective schools to form the result of CBSE Term 1 exam. Students who did not appear in class 1 class 10 and class 12 examinations will be marked as absent and the final result will be made on the basis of internal marks submitted by the schools.

This year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided not to fail or pass any class 10 and 12 student. Students will get the final merit only after the CBSE Term 2 exam is done. The merit list of students will also consist of Term 1 marks, Term 2 marks and internal marks.

CBSE has planned to conduct Term 2 exam descriptively in March or April. CBSE Class 10 and 12 Term 2 Exam will be conducted from 50% of the syllabus.

It is mandatory for the students to appear in both the CBSE term exams. No average marks will be awarded to the students if they fail to appear in the examination of any session.
