CBSE set to conduct Class 10, 12 Phase-II board exams amid escalation of Covid – Times of India

As the examinations have been canceled in view of the rising COVID-19 cases across the country, the CBSE Board and the Union Ministry of Education are all set to conduct Term 2 of the 10th and 12th board examinations, the first phase of which The exam was conducted. The duration of Phase II exam will be of two hours and questions will be subjective.

CBSE Academic Director Dr. Joseph Emmanuel told IANS, “The sample question paper and marking scheme of class 2 examinations of class 10 and 12 have been released on the website and the schools affiliated to the CBSE board have also been alerted. ”

CBSE’s controller of examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj said, “Only if the situation worsens then the examinations of the second session will not be held.” The marks obtained in the first stage will be considered as final and results will be prepared on the basis of them. But if such a situation does not arise and the second term is conducted successfully, the final result will be decided on the basis of 50-50 percentile marks of these two terms.

Both the Union Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health are paying special attention to immunization of students in the age group of 15-18 years so that they can appear for board exams safely.

Pankaj Rathore, Principal, Seth Jaipuria School, said: “Exam preparation and the COVID situation have made children get used to a hybrid mode of learning. The school’s new method of evaluation will help us move beyond the traditional notions of assessment in schools. You must stay tuned with the situation and make sure that the students are well prepared for the Pre Board and Board Exams.

He further added: “Offline classes are being planned for these children after the completion of vaccination in the age group of 15-18 years. Vaccination camps within the school premises will help the children to feel at home. For a few days It is important to observe the students. Their health is our top priority after vaccination.”

Stating that the health of the children is the first priority, the Education Ministry said that the CBSE board examinations will be conducted strictly following all the covid protocols. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is soon going to do a show named ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ for which more and more students, teachers and parents are being encouraged to register.

According to the ministry, like last year, this year also it has been proposed to keep the format of this program online. An online creative writing competition on various topics is being organized from 28th December to 20th January to select the participants. The questions asked by the selected winners will be included in the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme.

School students, teachers and parents of class 9-12 will be selected through an online competition.
