CBSE Term-1 Date Sheet 2022 Tomorrow, only major subjects exam

NS Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Will release term 1 datasheet tomorrow – October 18th. The board will conduct two sets of board exams this year. The first session exam will be conducted in offline mode and will be for major subjects only. This will be the first time that the exam will be conducted in MCQ format only.

CBSE had revised the board exam pattern from this year and after the board’s decision, other boards including CISCE, Punjab Board, HP Board have also decided to conduct two sets of board exams, each consisting of half the syllabus . Last year most of the boards could not conduct the exams due to the pandemic.

This year, it is expected that students will take board from their respective schools. Reports claim that the exam for skill subjects will be conducted from November 15, while for the rest it will be from November 24, however, the final schedule will be released on October 18.

The board said that the exam will be of an objective type and the duration of the tests will be 90 minutes. In view of the winter season, the examinations will start at 11.30 am instead of 10.30 am.

“After the conduction of Term-1 examination, the results in the form of marks obtained will be declared. After the first term, no student will be placed in the pass, compartment and required repeat categories. CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj told news agency PTI that the final results will be declared after the first and second term examinations.

“Practical examination or internal assessment will be completed before the first time examination in schools is over. The allotted marks will be 50% of the total marks and will be mentioned in the syllabus. Schools will be informed about the complete plan separately so that they can make necessary preparations.” CBSE is offering 114 subjects in class 12 and 75 in class 10.

“CBSE has to conduct the exam for a total of 189 subjects. If the tests are conducted for all the subjects, then the entire duration of the examinations will be around 40-45 days. Therefore, to avoid the learning loss of the students, CBSE has decided that the subjects offered by it will be divided into two parts – major subjects and minor subjects,” Bhardwaj said.

“Since the major subjects are offered by almost all the affiliated schools, the examination for these subjects will be conducted by fixing a date-sheet, as was done earlier. With respect to shorter subjects, CBSE will form clusters of schools offering these subjects and thus, more than one paper will be conducted in schools in a day by the board.”

Bhardwaj further said that the second session exam will be conducted in March-April, 2022 and will be objective or subjective-type, depending on the Covid situation in the country. The plan by the board to split the session into two came against the backdrop of the pandemic, which forced the cancellation of board exams for some subjects last year and the exams this year altogether.
