CBSE Term 1 Result Date: When and Where to Check Score

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) It is expected to release the results for class 1 board exams of class 10 and 12 in the first week of February. However, the official confirmation of the date is still awaited. The results were to be released in January but were postponed twice.

Term 1 exam was held in November-December. Once released, the results can be checked online at the official websites of CBSE – cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in. Additionally, the results will also be uploaded on the Digilocker app and website. Students will also be able to check their result by sending an SMS in the prescribed format to a number issued by CBSE.

According to CBSE, the passing criteria for both the classes is 33 per cent marks in aggregate and individual subjects. This time the board had divided the exam into two parts – Word I and II. The syllabus is to be covered up to 50% in each term. This time the board will not declare pass or fail. The final result will be published only after the declaration of the second session result. The final result will be based on both the conditions.

In addition, CBSE is Term II Board Exam Datesheet expected to release soon, While the CBSE Class 12 board first exam consisted of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), the second term paper would have subjective questions including both short and long answer type questions. The question paper will have some internal choices as well as it will consist of subjective and case-based questions.

The exam will be conducted for a duration of two hours, however, till then only if the COVID-19 situation becomes favourable. If Term II examination could not be conducted due to pandemic, the result would be on the basis of I, internal and practical assignments.

Last year, CBSE had to cancel the physical exam for class 10 and 12 board exams due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The marks were allotted to the candidates on the basis of their performance in the internal examinations and previous classes. In 2021, 99.04 percent students had passed class 10 and 99.37 percent students had passed class 12 board exams.
