CDGS stock soars over 15% as board approves special interim dividend of ₹67

TV Today Network is a small-cap company having a market cap of 1,707.12 Cr and the company deals in Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services (CDGS) sector. Shares of TV Today Network soared 16.02% on BSE and 15.47% on NSE after the board declared a special interim dividend of Rs. 67 per share for the financial year 2022-23.

The company said in a stock exchange filing that its board of directors has “declared a special interim dividend of Rs. 67/- (Rupees Sixty-seven only) per equity share ie at the rate of 1340% on the face value of Rs. Financial Year 5/- each fully paid-up for 2022-23. The special interim dividend will be paid to the equity shareholders of the company or the beneficial owners of the shares in the depository records on Monday, the 13th February, 2023, which is prescribed record date for the purpose. Payment of special interim dividend/dispatch of dividend warrants shall be made within 30 days from the date of declaration of dividend.”

TV Today Network approves re-appointment of Mr. Arun Puri, President & Whole Time Director for a period of 5 years with effect from 1st April, 2023 and also re-appointment of Ms. Kalli Puri Bhandal, Vice President & Vice President Gave. Managing Director for a period of 5 years with effect from April 1, 2023, subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company.

TV Today Network Limited on Friday reported a 55.08 percent decline in its consolidated net profit. 27.62 cr in Q3FY23 as compared to Rs. 61.50 crore reported in the year-ago quarter. The company posted revenue from operations of 231.31 crore during the quarter under review as compared to 257.97 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, representing a decline of 10.33%. 228.93 crore in revenue was generated through television and other media operations, while radio broadcasting brought in 2.38 crore. TV Today Network’s total expenses grow by 11.96% in Q3 FY23 206.30 crores from 184.25 crore in Q3FY22. Company’s EPS reached as compared to 4.63 in the quarter ending December 2022 10.31 was recorded in the quarter ending December 2021.

TV Today Network shares closed today on NSE 285.20 each level, up 15.47% from its previous close 247.00. The stock recorded a total volume of 2,218,814 shares. The stock has made a 52-week high 430.50 (21-Apr-2022) and 52-week low 224.55 on (23-Dec-2022).
