Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher and other Bollywood celebs mourn the demise of CDS General Bipin Rawat The nation mourns the sudden and tragic demise of Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, who died on 8 December when his helicopter crashed between Coimbatore and Sulur in Tamil Nadu. In the incident, 12 other people including Bipin Rawat’s wife have been confirmed dead. Several Bollywood celebrities have now taken to social media to mourn his demise. CDS General Bipin Rawat, supper star Salman Khan Wrote a heartfelt note and wrote on Twitter, ‘Very sad to hear about the tragic accident in which we lost General Bipin Rawat, his wife and other Armed Forces personnel. My condolences, my prayers and condolences are with the bereaved families…’ Sharing some old pictures with the CDS General, senior actor Anupam Kher tweeted in Hindi, ‘CDS #GenBipinRawat, his wife and 11 more army officers. Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of. Had the good fortune of meeting Generalavati many times. He had amazing courage and immense love for the country. Shaking hands with them, “Jai Hind” will come naturally from the heart.’ Sharing a picture of the dead soul, actress Kangana Ranaut wrote in her Instagram story section, ‘The most horrifying news of the year is the passing of Mr. #Bipin Rawat and his wife in a tragic helicopter crash. The nation will always be grateful to General Rawat for his service to the nation. Peace. Filmmaker Karan Johar wrote on Twitter, “Extremely shocked and saddened by the passing away of General Bipin Rawat, his wife and jawans of the Indian Armed Forces. We mourn this untimely loss while saluting the brave and selfless service rendered to the nation. Rest in power.’ Expressing his grief, actor Vivek Oberoi wrote on Twitter, ‘Deeply saddened to learn about the passing of General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat. Sir, we salute you for 4 decades of selfless service to the motherland. I am with our nation in mourning the loss of one of India’s finest soldiers. #RIP #Omshanti.’ Lara Dutta Bhupathi wrote, ‘Prayers for the family of General Bipin Rawat and his wife Mrs Madhulika Rawat, and for the families of the other 11 persons who died in the helicopter crash in Connur today.
