Center accepted my suggestion: Rahul Gandhi welcomes roll out of COVID booster dose

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that his ‘suggestion’ has been accepted by the central government. Roll out booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines in country.

Rahul Gandhi said on Twitter, “The central government has accepted my suggestion of a booster dose – this is a right step. The safety of vaccines and boosters has to reach the people of the country.”

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the “precautionary dose”, or Booster dose of Kovid-19 vaccine will be given to healthcare and frontline workers and those above 60 years of age with co-morbidities since January 10.

In a tweet on 22 December, Rahul Gandhi had demanded the introduction of booster dose in the country.

“Most of our population is still not vaccinated. When will the Indian government start the booster shots?” Rahul Gandhi said in the tweet.
