The nationwide protests against the Agneepath scheme have entered the fourth day, with various central ministries announcing job opportunities for Agneepath. The Center has offered jobs to the armed forces recruits in various ministries after their four-year tenure ends.
On Saturday, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced that it will reserve 10% vacancies for Agniveers in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles. The ministry also said that it will increase the upper age limit prescribed for recruitment in CAPFs and Assam Rifles by three years.
In fact, for the first batch of Agniveers, the age relaxation will be for five years over the prescribed upper age limit.
Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also took stock of the situation with top officials of the Army, Navy and Air Force and announced 10% jobs reservation for eligible firefighters in defense posts including Indian Coast Guard, Defense civilian posts and 16 defense posts. PSU.

In a tweet, the Defense Ministry said, “Necessary amendments will be made in the relevant Recruitment Rules to implement these provisions. Meanwhile, the Ministries of Civil Aviation and Shipping also announced job opportunities for Agnivers after their careers in the Indian Armed Forces.
The social media handle of the Ministry of Civil Aviation tweeted that it looks forward to “induct highly skilled, disciplined and motivated Agniveers into its various services and give them wings to fly.”

10th pass Agneepath Recruitment to get 12th certificate through NIOS
The Department of School Education and Literacy, through its autonomous institution, the National Institute of Open Schooling, has announced that it will set up a special program in consultation with defense officials to enable 10th pass firefighters to pursue their education and attain Can go 12th pass certificate by developing customized curriculum which are not only current but also very relevant to their service sector.

Skill India and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) will work closely with various wings of the Armed Forces to train the recruits in additional skills to make them better suited for civilian jobs. Agniveers will get Skill India certification while in service, which will enable them to pursue the many diverse opportunities in entrepreneurship and job roles that are being created in our economy after the completion of their tenure.
All organizations of Skill India – Directorate General of Training (DGT), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), various sector skill councils, entrepreneurship institutes NIESBUD and IIE, as well as skill regulator NCVET, will be associated with the exercise to ensure that firefighters Obtain the required skill certificates relevant to your job roles while in service.
Some of the skills learned on the job may have a direct parallel with the NSQF curriculum. For some, it may be necessary to compliment your on-the-job experience with additional online or offline, theory or practical skills. Financial Institutions to Support Agnivars
In order to identify the ways in which banks and financial institutions can assist firefighters on completion of their tenure of duty, the Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS) has asked Chief Executive Officers of Public Sector Banks (PSBs), Public Sector held a meeting with Insurance companies (PSICs) and financial institutions (FIs). It was decided in the meeting that PSBs, PSICs and FIs would explore employment opportunities through suitable benefits/discounts for the Agnivers in suitable capacities based on their educational qualifications and skills.
It was also decided that banks would explore the possibilities of supporting firefighters through skill up-gradation, education for setting up businesses and suitable credit facilities for self-employment. Existing government schemes like MUDRA, Stand Up India will be leveraged to extend such support to the Agniveers.
Firefighters will get priority in police forces
Several state governments have announced that after serving in the armed forces for four years, Agniveers will be given preference to fill vacancies in the state police forces.
The State Police Forces will be greatly benefited by the training and discipline imparted to the Agniveers by the Armed Forces and their capabilities in dealing with insurgency, Naxalism and natural calamities will be greatly enhanced.
Speaking on the concessions given by the Center for Agnivers, former Union Minister P Chidambaram said, “The piecemeal concessions for the Agneepath scheme announced by the government proves our point that the scheme was mis-conceived and poorly conceived. “

Even BJP MP Varun Gandhi drew criticism for the ‘damage control’ introduced by the government after widespread opposition to the Agneepath scheme.
“The revision done within a few hours of the launch of the Agneepath scheme shows that perhaps all the points were not taken into account while planning,” he said.
