Center announces several support measures for Agneepath recruits as protests continue

The nationwide protests against the Agneepath scheme have entered the fourth day, with various central ministries announcing job opportunities for Agneepath. The Center has offered jobs to the armed forces recruits in various ministries after their four-year tenure ends.

On Saturday, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced that it will reserve 10% vacancies for Agniveers in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles. The ministry also said that it will increase the upper age limit prescribed for recruitment in CAPFs and Assam Rifles by three years.

In fact, for the first batch of Agniveers, the age relaxation will be for five years over the prescribed upper age limit.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also took stock of the situation with top officials of the Army, Navy and Air Force and announced 10% jobs reservation for eligible firefighters in defense posts including Indian Coast Guard, Defense civilian posts and 16 defense posts. PSU.

All organizations of Skill India – Directorate General of Training (DGT), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), various sector skill councils, entrepreneurship institutes NIESBUD and IIE, as well as skill regulator NCVET, will be associated with the exercise to ensure that firefighters Obtain the required skill certificates relevant to your job roles while in service.

Firefighters will get priority in police forces

Several state governments have announced that after serving in the armed forces for four years, Agniveers will be given preference to fill vacancies in the state police forces.
