Rajasthan Royals and Team India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal revealed a horrifying experience during the Indian Premier League in 2013. Chahal, who has always been pranked for his weight, revealed an incident from IPL 2013 when he was hung from the balcony of one. 15th floor building by a Mumbai Indians teammate.
Chahal popularly known as prankster Shocked the world these days as he explained in detail. In a video shared by Rajasthan Royals on social media, Chahal along with his teammate Ravichandran Ashwin spoke about the incident and how that experience changed his life.
“I never told this story, from today everyone will know. I never shared it. It was in 2013 when I was with Mumbai Indians, we had a match in Bangalore. After that we met. So there was a player who was very drunk, I will not name his name. He was very drunk, he was watching me for a long time and he called me and he took me out and he hung me on the balcony,” said Chahal in the video.
“And my hands were around him, like this (behind the neck). If I had lost my grip, I would have been on the 15th floor. Suddenly many people present there came and held him. I fainted, they told me given water. Then I realized how responsible we should be when wherever we go. So this was one incident in which I felt that I have narrowly escaped. If there was even the slightest mistake, I would have fallen down , “he explained.
The incident was neither reported by him nor any other player and it came into the limelight only after Chahal talked about it in the video. In the end, he ends the story with a smile on his face, not putting much pressure on the past.
Chahal was bought by Rajasthan Royals in February 2022 in the IPL 2022 mega auction for Rs 6.5 crore. He is currently their leading wicket-keeper with 7 wickets in the first three matches.
