Aleida Guevara, daughter of Cuban revolutionary Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara, appealed to people to drop the word ‘I’ and start acting as ‘we’.

She was speaking at an event at the MBVK building here on Monday, where she was honored by the National Committee for Solidarity with Cuba. He was accompanied by his daughter Estefania Guevara.

On the occasion, representatives from various political parties and civil society honored Dr. Elida Guevara and her daughter to show solidarity with Cuba, which is struggling with the effects of tough economic sanctions imposed by the United States.

Dr. Aleida stressed on the importance of respecting each other and the quality of reaching out to fellow human beings, saying that they are all equal. Skin colour, cultural differences or ideologies are not important, the only thing that matters is being useful to other human beings. This, he said, is what makes us grow as human beings, he said, “We may have different ideologies, or we may achieve a purpose in different ways. But we must learn to respect our differences and learn from those differences to transform our existence.”

Urging people to learn about his father’s ideology and not let it remain just a symbol, he said, “Che Guevara should be remembered not only through T-shirts or posters but as a person who Whose ideology changed the world. Younger generations should learn and know more about Che and his ideology, his work and his contribution to world peace and equality.”

Dr Aleida said she will never forget the love she received in India.
