Chhath Puja 2022Patna district administration on Wednesday declared some ghats on the banks of holy river Ganga as dangerous. It precedes Chhath Puja, during which people gather at the ghats to perform rituals.
Incessant rains till early October this year, due to which the water level in the river became unstable, forced the administration to take steps to avoid any untoward incident.
Here is a list of ghats that have been declared unstable and dangerous by the Patna administration.

Chhath Puja will be celebrated on 30th and 31st October. It involves women fasting in knee-deep water and offering ‘Arghya’ to the Sun God. This festival is extremely popular among Purvanchalis – people of Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
