Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will visit Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh later this month after the ongoing budget session of the state legislature ends, his close aide said on Wednesday.

He said Shinde would go to Ayodhya to offer prayers to Lord Ram after the end of the budget session on March 25.

A grand temple dedicated to Lord Rama is coming up in the city of Uttar Pradesh.

Incidentally, Shinde was in Ayodhya in mid-June 2022 along with then Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray, just days before raising the banner of rebellion against the Shiv Sena leadership, which eventually led to the fall of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. .

After becoming the CM in late June, Shinde and the MLAs supporting him had visited the famous Kamakhya Devi temple in Guwahati.
