Based on this, searches were conducted in six districts – Salem (Kattumaram Kuttai), Tiruvallur (Thiruvallur), Dindigul (Dokkuveeranpatti), Namakkal (Attanur Samthuvpuram), Tiruvannamalai (Thorapady) and Coimbatore (Bettathapuram).
According to the FIR lodged by the CBI on November 14, the accused had circulated, downloaded and stored videos, photos, texts and posts of child abuse in this group.
The agency confirmed in an official release on Tuesday that their residences were raided and mobile phones were confiscated. A case has been registered under Section 67-B of the IT Act read with IPC 120-B (criminal conspiracy).
