China says 76% of population has received full dose of Covid-19 vaccines – Times of India

Beijing: China has given Dosage of covid-19 Vaccines National Health Commission spokesman Mi Feng said on Sunday that it has about 75.6% of the population as of October 23.
MI told a news briefing that some 1.068 billion people out of a population of 1.412 billion have now been vaccinated with the required doses.
Official data shows that the country has delivered a total of 2.245 billion doses of Covid-19 vaccines as of 23 October.
China is giving people whose last dose was given a booster shot at least six months ago, with priority groups including essential workers, older people and people with weakened immune systems.
China has largely contained the virus in most regions, and sporadic local outbreaks are small compared to those seen in other countries.
However, Mi cautioned on Sunday that the risk of China being the latest the outbreak, including more than 100 infections in a week in 11 provincial regions, will spread further.
