Chocolate Day 2023: Step inside this ‘sweet’ home made entirely of chocolate

New Delhi: A house made of chocolate sounds more like a fantasy than a reality. You may remember this type of concept from the popular children’s tale of Hansel and Gretel and a house made of sweet stuff owned by a witch. All chocolate lovers will be pleasantly surprised to know that there is a house made of chocolate in France where you can pick up a book and eat it. A place called Chocolate Cottage is listed on Booking.com where guests can stay for €50 or Rs 4,433 a night. It is located in Sevres, France, and was designed by a renowned chocolatier – Jean-Luc Declusseau.

According to a Forbes report, DiCluzo, with the help of his son, built such a house, which required him 600 hours and 1.5 tons of chocolate. During its manufacture, manufacturers had to maintain a cool temperature to prevent the chocolate from melting. So, air conditioners were installed during construction. You can imagine the measures they had to take to ensure that the chocolate remained intact and did not deviate from the design plan.

The house is made of chocolate but not every part of the house is edible. Everything inside the house is edible except the floor, bed and walls, reports Forbes.

The Chocolate House is a dream for every chocoholic but sadly, it is in France and only people living there will be able to experience the joy of stepping into this ‘sweet’ haven.
