Chocolate worth Rs 17 lakh stolen from Cadbury godown in Uttar Pradesh

No points for guessing, it leads to theft! Yes, you heard us. In a peculiar incident, Rs. The Chocolate Bar. 17 lakh was stolen from a godown in Chinhat area near Lucknow. According to the ANI report, it was a Cadbury warehouse and the incident happened on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.

“The sweets were stolen from a house being used as a godown of a chocolate maker under Chinhat police station limits,” the report said. The Uttar Pradesh Police has registered an FIR in the theft case. In the FIR, chocolate distributor Rajendra Singh Sidhu said he was using a Cadbury’s house as a godown to store chocolates. On Tuesday, he got a call from neighbors, who informed him that “the house is broken”.

Sidhu further said that the thieves not only emptied the godown but also took away other items of digital video recorders and security cameras.

The report further states that the police have already started their investigation. They are also scanning footage from other CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding areas. Meanwhile, Rajendra Singh Sidhu urged, “If anyone has any input, please come forward”.
