Citroen C3 launched in Brazil: Here’s what’s on top of the India-spec model – Times of India

Citroen C3 was launched in India a few months back as the company’s second model in the country, and now, Citroen The C3 tallboy hatchback has also been launched in Brazil. While the overall design and layout of the car remains the same, the Brazil-spec C3 features some notable changes over the model sold here in India.
To begin with, the C3 in Brazil is offered with a 1.0-litre NA petrol engine that churns out 71 PS of power as well as a 1.6-litre unit that produces 120 PS. In India, Citroen offers the C3 with 1.2-litre NA petrol and 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engines, making 82 PS and 110 PS respectively. The India-spec Citroen C3 is offered with a manual transmission as standard.
However, in Brazil, Citroen is offering the car with an optional 6-speed AT gearbox. We expect the company to introduce an optional automatic transmission for the C3 in India soon, but there is no confirmation yet.

Additional features with the Brazilian C3 in the Indian variant include electrically-adjustable ORVMs, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rear parking camera, rear wipers and defroster, ECO mode for the AT variant, as well as height-adjustable headrests and three-wheel drive. Wear seatbelts for all three rear seats.
In India, the Citroen C3 is currently priced from Rs 5.71 lakh, which goes all the way up to Rs 8.06 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The hatchback goes up against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Mahindra KUV100 NXT, Tata Punch, while it also rivals subcompact SUVs like the Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger.
