Classic Legends launches “Yezdi Forever” official Twitter handle of Yezdi brand

Classic Legends Private Limited has launched the official social media handle of the Yezdi motorcycle brand, as a first step towards relaunching the iconic motorcycle brand. Classic Legends, which makes new Jawa motorcycles, is gearing up to relaunch the Yezdi brand, possibly with the launch of two new motorcycle models in early 2022. Both the new Yezdi motorcycles will be based on the existing Jawa platform, and one of the bikes is expected to be an adventure touring model while the other is expected to be an urban scrambler.

Yezdi Roadking

The new Yezdi Roadking won’t be a match for the old one mentioned above, but it will be an all-new motorcycle, possibly an adventure or a scrambler model.

The Yezdi Forever social media handle is the first step towards relaunching the iconic motorcycle brand. Classic Legends is owned by Mahindra Group and even Anand Mahindra retweeted the new social media handle.

The Yezdi brand is expected to be relaunched with two new models, a scrambler, and an adventure model that will take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Several spy shots of two different motorcycles, both to be offered under the new Yezdi brand name, had already revealed the test mules of the bike. Those spy shots revealed both an adventure-style model as well as an urban scrambler, and trademark filings had also confirmed the Yezdi name and Yezdi Roadking brands. The trademark filing shows the Yezdi name as being owned by Boman Rustam Irani, who originally owned Ideal Jawa India Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of vintage Yezdi motorcycles.

0 notes

Whether Yezdi bikes will continue to exist in the same showroom with Jawa bikes, or will be retailed as a separate brand is still unclear, but in all likelihood, Yezdi bikes will be manufactured on the same assembly line as Jawa motorcycles , and will share many more, possibly even the powerplant, that Java may share with Perak. More details are expected closer to the launch of the brand, which is likely to take place in early 2022.
