CLAT 2022, 2023 to be held in a single year, counseling fee for law college admission also reduced

The decision was taken at the annual executive committee and general body meetings of the Association of National Law Universities held on 14 November. CLAT is usually conducted once a year for admission to law colleges, which include 22 national law universities that offer five-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes. CLAT is a two-hour paper. Candidates will have to attempt 150 objective type questions in English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Quantitative Techniques and Logical Reasoning.

Those who clear the entrance test will have to appear for the counseling round to secure a seat in the colleges. This year the consortium has reduced the counseling fee from Rs 50,000 to Rs 30,000. The counseling fee for reserved category candidates will be Rs 20,000.

Those of you who have passed class 12th or will appear in board exams are eligible to apply for UG-CLAT 2022, while candidates who have completed LLB or are in final year of LLB program can apply for CLAT LLM can do.

In 2021, the CLAT registration started from January 1, while this year the registration details are yet to be revealed, the application is expected to start from the new year. In 2021, the exam was postponed several times and was finally held on 23 July. For CLAT graduation, 70,277 candidates registered, 66,887 downloaded their admit cards and 62,106 appeared for the exam.
