CLAT 2022 notification released, applications will start from January 1

Consortium of National Law Universities (NLU) has released the notification for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022, The registrations will start from January 1 on the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The last date for submission of CLAT 2022 application form is 15th June. The exam will be conducted on July 23 from 2 PM to 4 PM.

“Registration for the exam will open on 1st January 2021 and close on 15th June 2021. The exam will be conducted on 23rd July from 2 PM to 4 PM,” reads the official notice. CLAT 2022 will be conducted for admission to the five- year integrated LLB program offered by 22 NLUs across the country.

CLAT 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 45 percent marks for unreserved candidates. Those belonging to reserved categories like SC, ST and OBC must have secured 40 per cent marks.

Class 10 mark sheet and pass certificate

12th mark sheet and pass certificate

Caste certificate, if applicable

Scanned copy of candidate’s photograph

Scanned copy of candidate’s signature

Aadhar Card, Voter Card etc.

– BPL certificate (if applicable)

Step 1. Visit the official website of NLU

Step 2. On the homepage, click on CLAT 2022 registration link

Step 3. Fill the CLAT 2022 Application Form using the required details

Step 4. Upload the document. Pay the fees. to present or to show

Step 5. Download and take a print out of the application form for further use

CLAT 2022: Application Fee

The CLAT registration fee is Rs 4000 for unreserved category candidates and Rs 3500 for SC, ST and OBC candidates.

CLAT will be conducted twice next year. This means that both the law entrance exams of 2022 and 2023 will be conducted separately but in the same year., The decision to conduct two CLATs next year was taken at the annual executive committee and general body meetings of the consortium of NLUs held on 14 November. The consortium elected a new Executive Committee along with Prof. Poonam Saxena, Vice-Chancellor, National Law University. Jodhpur took over as the chairman from Professor Faizan Mustafa.
