Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood is developing a new thriller with frequent collaborator Warner Bros. Actors Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette are in talks to feature in the film, titled Jury #2According to entertainment news outlet hollywood reporter,
The story takes place during a murder trial and follows a juror, played by Hoult, who learns that she may have caused the victim’s death. He must decide whether to manipulate the jury to protect himself, or to reveal the truth and turn himself in. Colette is in talks for the role of Prosecutor.
Eastwood, who last directed the 2021 Western drama cry macho, will operate from a screenplay by Jonathan Abrams. The 92-year-old filmmaker will also executive produce the project alongside Adam Goodman, Tim Moore, Jessica Meier and Matt Schena. The executive producers are Ellen Goldsmith-Wayne and Jeremy Bell.
Warner Bros. is close to greenlighting the project, with production slated for June, after Eastwood’s 93rd birthday on May 31.
