Clubhouse has seen a rise among daily users in India debating a range of topics. The app has a massive Android user base in India with a very small iOS base. Clubhouse has also introduced some new features by removing the invitation only system.
“We are very pleased to say that today, that is all changing, as we begin our first wave of native language support. We are launching on Android with thirteen new languages starting immediately – Including French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Malayalam, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Tamil and Telugu,” wrote Aarti Ramamurthy, Head International, Clubhouse.
“We’ll be adding support for iOS and additional languages soon, so people from Mumbai and Paris to Sao Paulo and Jakarta can experience Clubhouse in a way that feels a little more original to them,” Ramamurthy said.
The audio based social media platform also introduced a new app icon, Anirudh Deshmukh. He is an architect turned singer, songwriter, musician. Based in Mumbai, Anirudh joined Clubhouse early in the year and by spring, Clubhouse said he had launched his now 72K member club.
