CM Kejriwal has ‘long way to go’ to get Delhi out of world’s top polluted cities

As the national capital slipped down from the list of top 10 most polluted cities in the world for the first time, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday congratulated Delhiites and said there was a long way to go.

Arvind Kejriwal said Delhi It has been removed from the list after a very long time, and this moment demands appreciation for the contribution of the people of Delhi in curbing pollution in the city. He said that there is a long way to go in order to continue continuous efforts to reduce pollution in the national capital.

Sharing HT’s chart of the top 10 most polluted cities in the world, the Delhi CM stressed on the goal of bringing Delhi to the list of cleanest cities in the world.

“After a long time, Delhi is not on the list of most polluted cities in the world. The efforts of the people of Delhi are slowly paying off. Congratulations Delhi! But it still has a long way to go. We have to be counted among the cleanest cities in the world,” tweeted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday.

After a very long time, Delhi has slipped from the ranking of most polluted cities and has overtaken Mumbai to become the most polluted cities in India and among the 10 most polluted cities in the world.

The ranking is compiled by the Swiss Air Tracking Index IQAir, a real-time worldwide air quality monitor. According to the ranking, Mumbai ranks second in the list of ten most polluted cities in the world.

This list has been prepared on the basis of the data accumulated between the time period of 29 January to 2 February. Mumbai’s air quality has been fluctuating between good and very poor over a long period of time. According to the ranking, Mumbai is the second most polluted city in the world. Lahore of Pakistan ranks first in the list. Kabul, Bishkek, Doha, Astana were some of the other cities named in the list.
