CMCH: Man tries to run away ‘108’ ambulance, collides with government town bus Coimbatore News – Times of India

Coimbatore: An unidentified person unsuccessfully tried to drive away a parked ‘108’ ambulance from Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.CMCH) Thursday afternoon.
At around 1 pm, a patient was brought to CMCH in a 108 ambulance from Tiruppur Government Hospital. ambulance driver, NatarajanWith the help of the hospital staff, the patient was shifted to a ward before the ambulance was parked in front of the zero delay ward.
Meanwhile, an unknown person standing near the ambulance sat on the driver’s seat of the vehicle and drove him away from CMCH.
When Natarajan and other hospital staff followed the ambulance in motorcycles, they hit it TNSTC Town bus at the junction of Town Hall Road and Goods Shed Road.
The windshield of the town bus was completely damaged. The front part of the ambulance was also damaged in the accident. The man got injured and was caught by the private security guards of the hospital. He was later handed over to the Race Course Police for further investigation.
During interrogation it was found that the man was speaking HindiAnd he didn’t have any valid ID card. He was brought to the emergency ward of CMCH for treatment.
