A total of 73 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Coimbatore district on Thursday.
The health department reported two new deaths and the toll rose to 2,511. On Thursday, 102 people got cured and there were 931 active cases in the district.
On Thursday, 28 new cases were reported in Tiruppur district. There were 417 active cases in the district and 43 persons were cured. The health department did not report any new deaths and the toll stood at 1,025.
