CoinSwitch Kuber wants to expand to 500 employees

New Delhi : Crypto Unicorn CoinSwitch Kuber plans to expand its team to 500 personnel by the end of FY 2011.

CoinSwitch founder and CEO Ashish Singhal said that around 60% of new employees will be added to the engineering and product teams. Other hiring will be done in customer support, finance, growth and business.

“We are building one of the first teams to build Web3 and the crypto space in India. Although we know that there is a lot of talent that can be started in this area, we are working with the best minds,” Singhal said. We want to work together and invest further in building the expertise and knowledge base to develop talent.” We want to play a bigger role in this. Building a base of interest, expertise and knowledge in blockchain and related products and technology.”

The crypto exchange, which became the second crypto unicorn from India in October, has been expanding its senior leadership teams over the past three months. It has appointed Ashish Chandra, who has worked at streaming firm Netflix and messaging firm WhatsApp, as general counsel and former Paytm executive Krishna Hegde as senior vice president of the new initiative.

Singhal also said the company is ready to make acquisitions and is “constantly” in talks with “potential partners” who can help build its team.
