Standup comedian Sahil Shah was dragged on Twitter for his ‘intolerable’ email to a college student who mistakenly sent him the wrong invitation to a fest.

Sahil Shah, a stand-up comedian, is under fire on Twitter for what is being perceived as a less-than-kind retribution to a college student who mistakenly sent him the wrong invitation to his festival. A college student in Mumbai mistakenly sent a mail to Shah, inviting ‘Ms Aarti’ to his celebration, which would ‘celebrate and felicitate’ social media influencers.

Shah responds to a ‘ridiculous’ email, sarcastically refers to herself as ‘Ms. Zub Anna Kesari’ – a ‘paan’ India Influencer’ and the author of the book ‘Peter Pan and Captain Spit’. It was not clear what that reference had to do with the case.

“Send me more details and let me know if I can send you a signed copy of my other book “How to copy paste and cross check an email before sending it”. Netflix starring Radhika Apte as twins CC and BCC),” Shah wrote in part of his mail.

The comedian was criticized for not only being “awkward” with the joke, but also for showing no sympathy for the college student’s unintentional mistake.
