State-owned oil marketing corporations Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum have sold 19 kg . reduced the price of commercial lpg Cylinder ₹ 91.5 per cylinder on softening of international prices.
But oil companies have not changed the rates of domestic LPG and have started putting limits on refills that can be ordered by a user in a fortnight.
According to a price notification by state-owned fuel retailers, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder was reduced from ₹1,976.50 to ₹1,885 per cylinder in the national capital.

However, the rates of LPG used in domestic kitchens for cooking purposes remained unchanged at Rs 1,053 per 14.2 kg cylinder.
Industry sources said this is because domestic LPG rates were much below the cost and are now on break even with the fall in international prices.
Commercial LPG rates on the other hand have been largely linked with cost and hence they have moved along with the rise and fall of international rates.
And due to this difference between market priced commercial LPG and low cost domestic LPG, cylinders meant for cooking were replaced in commercial establishments.

To prevent this, state-owned oil companies have now started putting limits on the 14.2 kg refill that can be ordered by a household, he said.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has limited one refill to 15 days from August 26, and other retailers Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) are likely to follow suit.
