Commercial LPG prices hiked by Rs 105 – Times of India

New Delhi: Price of commercial kitchen gasUsed by hotels and other commercial establishments, was raised by Rs 105 to its second highest level on Tuesday, but rates of subsidized gas sold to homes remained stable.
According to the price notification from the state-owned fuel retailers, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has been increased from Rs 1,907 to Rs 2,012.
This is the second highest rate after Rs 2,101 per cylinder in December 2021.
LPG rates are revised on the 1st of every month based on the benchmark fuel price in the previous month.
However, the price of LPG, the domestic cooking gas sold to households, has not changed since October, when it was increased to Rs 899.50 per 14.2 kg cylinder.
The gap in those rates comes after criticism from the opposition over a Rs 90 hike in prices over the past six months.
Like LPG, the prices of petrol and diesel are also stable since the beginning of November 2021.
It is being speculated that the fuel prices will be hiked after the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and four other states are over next week.
