Chasing a target of 163 runs, Barbados were reduced to 62 for eight in 20 overs. Earlier, Jemima Rodrigues scored an unbeaten 56 to help India reach 162 for four against Barbados in a Women’s Cricket Group A match at the ongoing Commonwealth Games at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. Shafali Verma also retaliated with 43 runs after Smriti Madhana was dismissed cheaply. Harmanpreet Kaur was dismissed for a golden duck as India were reduced to 92 for four. Jemimah and Deepti Sharma (34) added 70 not out for the fifth wicket to take India past the 160-run mark. Earlier, Barbados won the toss and elected to bowl against India.
