Bikaner: Curfew imposed and internet services suspended till further orders Chiriya Gandhi Panchayat and Gandhi Badi Bhirani police station area Hanumangarh Protests broke out in the district on Wednesday after clashes broke out between police and protesters demanding legal action against those allegedly involved in cow slaughter during Eid on July 11.
This follows an FSL report in which a meat sample was found positive on Tuesday.
The four accused Farooq, Anwar, Amin Khan and Sikandar Khan were arrested by the police on charges of cow slaughter.
Hanumangarh District Collector nathmal didel And SP Ajay Kumar Singh reached the disturbed areas after the clash.
“The administration had accepted most of the demands made by the protesters, but they kept on making new ones. In the end, they were advised to call off the protest as prohibitory orders under Section 144 were imposed. But they continued to protest. ,” District Collector Nathmal Didel to TOI.
“As far as the FSL report is concerned, one sample out of six collected by the police was found positive,” he said. The protesters have sat on a dharna after the FSL report came out on Tuesday. Police used force to disperse the protesters. Two cases have been registered against the protesters for violating prohibitory orders and spreading communal hatred.
The protesters are demanding the arrest of all those who slaughtered cows, served and ate beef on July 11. Another demand is the removal of an alleged encroachment to the graveyard. After the FSL report, a delegation led by former BJP MLA Sanjeev Beniwal submitted a memorandum to the district administration demanding a fair, detailed and high-level inquiry into the incident.
