state congress president Rajesh Thakur “The weekly Janata Darbar will be attended by one of the four Congress ministers who are part of the Grand Alliance government. Every Saturday, a minister will organize a darbar where common people can walk and share their grievances. If they have any issues with departments that are not headed by any of the four ministers, we will try to coordinate with the minister concerned to find a solution. In this way we intend to maintain a proper coordination among our alliance partners (JMM and RJD), within the party and among the people. “Besides, each minister has been assigned to visit at least six districts per month. They will meet and interact with district and block cadres, listen to their problems and resolve the issues.
When asked the reason behind the mass contact programmes, Thakur said, “One of the main issues that came up during the recent marathon consultations with various wings and cadres of the party by our in-charge of Jharkhand affairs is communication in certain areas. Also, many party workers said that they are feeling isolated from the state leadership or they are not getting due recognition and respect on the field or in government offices etc. Hence the decision to come up with such programs. was done.”
Ministers have started their work. “Today Agriculture Minister and Jarmundi MLA Badal Patralekh has left for Garhwa. Tomorrow Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam and Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon Will go to their designated districts,” Thakur said.
