Pradhan’s comment comes after the Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned at noon on Friday after the Opposition demanded a discussion on the alleged irregularities in the conduct of the medical entrance exam

Congress doesn’t want a discussion of the NEET UG 2024 issue, they only want chaos and obstacles in the functioning of the parliament, Dharmendra Pradhan said on Saturday. The comment comes after the Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned at noon on Friday after the Opposition demanded a discussion on the alleged irregularities in the conduct of the medical entrance exam.

“Congress doesn’t want discussion they only want chaos, confusion, and obstacles in the functioning of the parliament. They are only doing politics on the issue…NTA has got a new leadership now… a committee has been formed under K Radhakrishnan,” the education minister told ANI.

Meanwhile, CBI arrested Dr Ehsaan Ul Haq, Principal of Oasis School, and Vice Principal Imtiaz Alam from Hazaribagh, in the NEET UG paper leak case on Friday. Following this, BJP IT Cell’s Amit Malviya said there is stunned silence in the Opposition camp after the arrests. “What is more important for the Opposition? Secularism or cleaning up the NEET mess and securing students’ future?,” he posted on X.

On Saturday, as part of its investigation, CBI conducted searches at seven locations in Gujarat in the NEET-UG paper leak case, officials said. The operation began in the morning at the premises of suspects spread across four districts — Anand, Kheda, Ahmedabad, and Godhra. CBI raided Dixit Patel’s bungalow in Vidyanagar early in the morning. Patel runs two schools in Gujarat — Jay Jalaram International School on Sevaliya-Balasinor highway in Kheda district, and Jay Jalaram School at Godhra in Panchmahal district. Both the schools are located 100 km apart and are owned by Dixit Patel. He was earlier questioned by the agency but is now absconding.
