Rahul Gandhi Comment: The Congress hit back at Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar as he criticized Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on foreign soil. Jagdeep Dhankhar suggested during a function that people should leave behind their “political spectacle” while traveling abroad. Criticizing Dhankhar, the Congress said the Rajya Sabha chairman should be impartial and not always praise the government.

Dhankhar indirectly targeted Rahul Gandhi

Speaking at the World Homeopathy Day celebrations, Dhankhar said that as India lays the foundation for the centenary of its independence in 2047, every attempt that tries to attack the country’s dignity must be blunted. He said people should leave behind their “political pageantry” when traveling abroad, apparently in reference to the controversy over remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his recent visit to the United Kingdom.

Jairam Ramesh hits back at Dhankhar

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh responded to Vice President Dhankhar’s tweet saying that people should leave behind their “political spectacle” while traveling abroad. Then preach (to others).”

“Mr. President must be fair”

Ramesh said, “Secondly, the Speaker should be impartial and should not always praise the government.” In his remarks on Monday, Dhankhar said, “Have you ever seen any foreign dignitary or foreign national condemn or criticize your country on a visit to this great democracy? The answer is no. We take pride in our scientists, health why can not you do.” Praise the warriors and our innovation?”

“Whenever we go out of the country, we should leave behind our political spectacle. It will be beneficial for the country as well as the individual,” he said.
