Ranchi: Congress MLAs will meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren and demand reduction in VAT imposed by the state government on fuel, amendment in Jharkhand recruitment exam rules, 27% job reservation for OBC candidates and scrutiny of results of preliminary examinations. The MPs also demanded that the government should make a clear rule for sand mining and fulfill its promise of providing 50% reservation to women in all government vacancies.
While Alam and Thakur did not respond to TOI’s call after the meeting, a statement released by the party in the evening said: “The CLP leader assured the legislators that he would lead a delegation to the CM and formally express their demands. will present it.”
