World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros said on Monday that there is consistent evidence that the Omicron version is spreading faster than the delta version.
India has so far recorded 161 cases of the new coronavirus variant Omicron, the Health Minister said today, adding that the government has taken steps to deal with the situation if the virus spreads.
Mansukh Mandaviya said that the states and union territories have sufficient number of vaccines against Covid-19 for the vaccination campaign, adding that the vaccine manufacturing capacity of the country has also increased.
