Chinmayi Sripada, Playback Singer, Voice-over Artist, Radio Jockey (RJ) and Entrepreneur, graced the event and sang the melodious song from the Tamil film – 96 – Much to the delight of the crowd. Srihari commented to the audience, “His voice sounds very primitive even without a studio setup, a national talent indeed.”

As a Diwali special, a ‘Voice of Besant Nagar’ competition was organized, inviting entries from keen amateur singers to perform on a car-free Sunday. Out of the many entries received, the top four singers were shortlisted, and got a chance to share the stage with Ms. Sripada to showcase their talent. The winners – Narasimhan, Mahalakshmi, Diya and Varsha – were given a Diwali hamper for their enthusiasm and efforts.

As always the children were engrossed in the Silambam session organized by the Champions Cross Institute of Martial Arts.

Presented by Hercules Cycles, this week’s obstacle course race culminated with Sonish Kumar carrying a Hercules cycle to his home, while runner-up Jayasuriya received a ₹6,500 gift voucher.
