New Delhi-based electric mobility brand Corit Electric announced a partnership with ReadyAssist for on-road assistance for its customers in India. With over 5,000 service partners in approximately 19,000 pin codes, ReadyAssist will fulfill Corit Electric’s commitment to transform the way people walk. Under this agreement, ReadyAssist will provide customers with round-the-clock breakdown support, flat tire repair, teething problems and towing service through an annual subscription and on-demand. In addition, ready-assist teams will be available in all districts on call.

Mayur Mishra, CEO, Corit Electric, said, “We plan to grow and expand rapidly with plans to launch a last mile delivery vehicle by June ’22 and a high-speed bike by the end of this year. We believe that ReadyAssist is the right partner for us and can facilitate our plans by bringing their on-site experience and reliability to the table. Our vision is to complete 25,000 bike deliveries across India by the end of 2022.

Each vehicle sold by Corit Electric to its customers will be supplemented with one year of free doorstep periodic maintenance, breakdown assistance, and support for any other warranty repairs. Currently, the company is manufacturing its slow-speed Hover e-scooter from its newly built production facility in Greater Noida, which claims to make one Hover electric scooter every 45 minutes. The company also says that this new facility is equipped to produce over 1,500 units per month. Additionally, it plans to further increase its production capacity by August this year.

The Corit Hover electric scooter is priced at ₹ 84,999 (ex-showroom), and the company has started deliveries in a phased manner. The two-seater bike is designed for the consumers in the age group of 12-18 years and features 250 kg load capacity, dual disc brakes, tubeless tires and dual shock absorbers for a smooth and safe ride. The hover scooter will have a range of 110 kms with a top speed of 25kmph, so no driving license or registration will be required.
