Kollam: The Aanchal Police on Sunday arrested three natives of Tamil Nadu in connection with an attempt to dupe a man who offered to double the amount paid by them. Veeraputran, 35, Manikandan, 32, and Sirajuddin, 45, natives of Madurai, were working from a lodge room in Aanchal. They came here under a deal with Salfi, a resident of Aanchal.
On the second day, Sulfi handed over Rs 2.40 lakh to pay double the amount. When he reached the lodge they gave him some bundles currencies Told him that its cost is Rs 4.80 lakh. When Salfi checked the bundles he found that it was a mixture of genuine notes and plain papers.
They followed the vehicle of the gang and stopped them at Cappalimukku. Local people informed the police after clashing with each other. They took the natives of Tamil Nadu and their car into custody and also recovered Rs 6.45 lakh notes from their car. news network
