Karnataka reported 191 new cases on Thursday, taking the test positivity rate (TPR) for the day to 1.61%. The weekly TPR touched 1.44% and the total number of cases rose to 39,48,283.
Of the new cases, 171 cases have been reported from Bengaluru Urban alone.
With zero deaths, the state’s toll stood at 40,060. Apart from this, 42 deaths of patients due to non-COVID-19 causes have also been recorded.
138 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 39,06,327. Active cases touched 1,854.
In the last 24 hours, 11,830 tests were conducted, including 7,909 RT-PCR tests. With this, the total number of tests increased to 6,59,15,530.
