Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudi has announced that all the university end semester exams that were scheduled to start from January 20 have been postponed.
The minister told media persons on Monday that the scheduled examinations were being postponed due to the increase in COVID-19 infections in the state. He said that the new dates will be announced a week before the exam.
Strict action will be taken against any institute which conducts the examination in violation of the declaration, he added.
The final semester exams to be held in December were postponed on the basis of representations from several student organizations in the state.
