Players of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals were robbed of their bags after their bats, pads and other cricket equipment were stolen. The players came to know about it a day later as the kit bags from the cargo arrived a day later. Almost all the players have lost their bats, with batsman Yash Dhull having lost at least five of his bats. The bats lost by the foreign players cost one lakh rupees each.
The DC is currently considering how they can go about the issue and seek help from the police.
Notably, Delhi Capitals are at the bottom of the IPL 2023 points table. They have lost all their five matches so far.
Delhi Capitals lost their previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 15th April at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The team’s next match will be against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday.
