The arrests were made on the basis of a tip-off received from a CTET center at Banthra here that Manish Kumar would appear in the exam in place of Shubham Yadav, spokesperson of the police’s Special Task Force, who nabbed him on Wednesday. Yadav hails from Jaunpur in Bihar and Kumar hails from Kaimur in the state.

Two fake identity cards and as many CTET admit cards were seized from him, the official said. Kumar claimed that he was working as a “solver” for Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 in place of genuine candidates in competitive exams. is present.

During interrogation, Kumar claimed that in 2016, when he was preparing for the Civil Services Examination, he came in contact with some people who ran a gang of solvers.
