The coach was appointed on the recommendation of the Cycling Federation of India.

In a statement, SAI said, “Following compliance by the athlete, SAI has immediately brought him back to India to ensure his safety and has also constituted a committee to investigate the matter. The matter is being dealt with on priority and It will be resolved soon.”

The training-cum-competition overseas performance tour in Slovenia was in preparation for the Asian Track Cycling Championships, to be held here from June 18-22.

The CFI said it has the full support of the national body.

“The CFI stands with the complainant Mayuri Lute and has already summoned the Sports Authority of India and Mayuri Lute that the decision of the committee constituted by SAI will be fully supported by the federation,” the CFI said.
