Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said he has asked the state police to conduct a detailed probe into the accident in which former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry was killed.
Fadnavis said that he is shocked and deeply saddened to learn about the demise of Mistry (54) in the unfortunate accident that took place near Palghar, adjoining Mumbai. State Home Minister Fadnavis tweeted, “Spoke to DGP and directed for a detailed inquiry.”

Mistry was killed when his car collided with a divider in Palghar district on Sunday. A police officer said that he was going from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in a Mercedes car.
Palghar district superintendent of police Balasaheb Patil said that the accident took place on a bridge over the Surya river.
