Dairy farming sector is flourishing in Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir, with budding units, startups. Integrated Dairy Development Scheme (IDDS), a flagship project funded by the government is generating employment in South Kashmir. The scheme under the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries is providing self-employment opportunities in the dairy sector including milk production, procurement, preservation, transportation, processing and marketing.
