A Congress MLA in Rajasthan on Monday resigned from his assembly membership in connection with the death of a 9-year-old Dalit student in Jalore district.

A nine-year-old Dalit boy died on Saturday after he was allegedly thrashed by a teacher for touching a pot of drinking water at a private school in Rajasthan’s Jalore district.
