CID fans were stunned when pictures of the cast’s reunion surfaced on social media recently. Most of the cast of the long running show came together and it was a kind of nostalgia trip for the fans. However, the absence of Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyumna) and Narendra Gupta (Dr Salunkhe) did not go unnoticed. ID, which premiered in 1998 and aired for 20 years, went on to become one of India’s longest running television shows.

Is CID coming back with a new season?
Fans have been waiting for a long time for the return of CID in a new avatar. The makers of CID had decided to re-telecast the show in 2020 amid the coronavirus lockdown. There have also been several rumors that the cop drama may be revived with the same cast. Giving clarity on the same, Shivaji Satam told Hindustan Times, “The makers are talking of reviving CID in a different kind of format. Yes, talks are on, but nothing concrete. It’s still up in the air.”
