DCBL launches app for cement sales, selects Nagpur for pilot project Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL) is looking forward to increase its presence in the retail sector through digital mode.
The company has launched an app to buy cement. The company says that it is the first company in the segment to introduce a sales app for cement. Nagpur was selected as the first center for the pilot project.
DBCL executive director Hakimuddin Ali said the app targets retail consumers, who require enough cement to build a 5,000 sq ft property. It is expected to make it convenient for independent home builders and small realtors.
“The app has been developed to appeal to current and future customers. Hopefully the app will provide an opportunity to select the product easily in the shortest possible time.
Earlier this year, DBCL commenced operations at Murli Cement Plant in Chandrapur. The company had acquired the plant last year. With the commissioning of the Chandrapur plant, an additional 2.9 million tonnes per annum has been added to its capacity.
