The 31-year-old, who has the fastest century in women’s T20 Internationals, took to Twitter to announce his retirement.
“There have been many hurdles during my cricketing career that I have had to overcome, but the current environment and the team environment are not conducive to my ability to flourish and rekindle my passion,” Dottin said.
“With much sadness but without regret, I realized that I am no longer able to adhere to the team culture and team environment as it has reduced my ability to excel,” he said.

Barbados, third in Group A with two points from the same number of matches, will next take on India at Edgbaston on Wednesday.
Dottin also said that she is keen to play domestic cricket around the world.
Dottin said, “Thank you everyone for the love and support in my last 14 years of playing cricket for the West Indies! I look forward to playing domestic cricket around the world.”
Dottin is the West Indies’ most international cricketer, having played 124 T20Is and 143 ODIs since his debut in June 2008.
He has scored 3727 ODI runs at an average of 30.54, including three centuries, and has 25.93 runs in 2697 T20Is, including two centuries.
